Restaurant Xi Lin Men 喜临门茶餐室 is a beloved Chinese eatery located in Melaka, Malaysia, well-known for its exceptional satay offerings. Diners rave about the delicious pork and chicken satay, often selling out by the evening, as noted by customer Joanne Koo. The accompanying peanut gravy adds a fragrant touch that complements the skewers perfectly.

In addition to satay, the restaurant also serves a variety of dishes, including their praised fried rice, which stands out for its flavorful wok hei. Su Chuin Ong highlights the sweet and sour pork paired with a homemade yam ring as a must-try, though some visitors remarked that certain dishes, like the salted egg squid, could benefit from a stronger flavor profile.

While the restaurant's ambiance reflects its long-standing history—over four decades—its culinary offerings continue to impress. As shared by Roshan Ananda and others, this spot is a classic pilgrimage for food lovers. If you're in Melaka, make sure to stop by for their iconic satay and experience a piece of culinary history that captures the heart of Chinese dining in the region.

Very good satay. At 4pm we drove past, they were not open. By 630pm, chicken satay and rice cakes were sold out. We had pork satay. Thats how good their business is.

The satay is tasty and the peanut gravy is fragrance. We also recommend the Oyster omelette. The sweet potato leaf is too old , the ginger Galian fish slices and the signature beancurd are average. Total bill includes satay cost hundred ringgit for 4 of us. Plenty of parking , lot of stray dogs around

Restaurant Xi Lin Men is a Chinese restaurant located near Klebang Melaka. It is less than 10 minutes drive from Kota Laksamana, Dataran Pahlawan or Klebang famous coconut milkshake. The restaurant is non-halal. The 'satay' (meat skewers) is a must! Choices of skewers include pork, chicken and pork intestine. I personally prefer pork and pork intestines 'satay'. The food (other than 'satay') is average - not recommended. Do check out the restaurant for its delicious satay. Do check out my instagram @ roshan_arjun for more feeds. Cheers!

They have one of the best fried rice in melaka! Full of wokhey and flavour The satay stall at the front of the shop is such a bonus to the place, my favourite go to for Chinese food since young. Ask for their homemade yam ring if you do order sweet&sour pork, perfect combo. Only downside if I were to be super picky is that their salted egg could add more eggyolk for flavour. Pic: Salted egg squid, Thai style tofu, sweet&sour pork, satay

It's been there like forever Since more than 40 years ago and still going strong. My late mum's favourite satay place, nyonya style. They have both chicken and pork satay at RM1.20 each stick and there's also pork intestines, if that's your kind of food Since we're seated inside the restaurant, I ordered the honey ginger drink (RM5.00) which was quite refreshing This is one of those classic foodie places that you should visit if you're passing by

This is a restaurant that is located in suburban part of Melaka. They have another outlet in the Malim area. Their signature dish is the satay. Both their chicken and pork satay, especially the pork satay are good. Their satay sauce has a distinct belimbing taste, which is just fantastic. They also serve other Chinese dishes. Their fried noodles are great. Other Chinese dishes are good too. The Wat Tan Hor fried with a fantastic slightly "burnt taste" which is a fantastic distinct "Wok Hei" feature. Wat Tan Hor is recommended. Fried Yin Yang Noodles is another good alternative if one wish to taste the Crispy Fried Mee Hoon. Their drinks are the usual drinks. Service is fast. Cleanliness is good. Prices are very reasonable. Both cash and e-wallet payments are accepted. Parking are roadside parkings which are easily available. Patrons on wheelchairs can easily patrony this store. 27-05-2022 : Prices had inevitably increased slightly. Quality and quantity of food is maintained. Prices are still very reasonable. 22-09-2022 :. The Hotplate Tofu was good. As usual, my guest was impressed with the Wat Tan Hor served here. My guest enjoyed the "Wok Hei" present in the Wat Tan Hor. 19-02-2023 : Business operations is fully normal without any Covid-19 restrictions. Prices, food portions and quality remained unchanged. 09-06-2024 : Prices had inevitably increased slightly but still very competitive and reasonable. Food qualities and portions maintained. Pork Satay is still fantastic and highly recommended. Wat Tan Hor is still good and also recommended.
